It's hard to imagine a meal without noodles, especially in Asia, where they are among the most commonly used accompaniments. With so many types of noodles available, it's no surprise that people come up with new ways to eat them.

One of the most popular types of noodles is instant noodles, which come in many different flavor varieties. Instant noodles are a type of dried noodle that have been dried and pre-cooked, so they are ready to eat at any time. With a package of instant noodles you get not only the noodles, but also a lot of seasonings and flavorings that make it an easy and quick way to enjoy a little taste of Asia. It is one of the most convenient types of food, and it’s no surprise that it has become so popular around the world.

(Note: the original Danish says "rejser", which appears to be a typo — likely intended "rejer" = "shrimp".)

Samyang The noodles are known for their little mascot, a white chicken with black hair that decorates all the packets. There it sits, gorging itself on exactly what is characteristic of the particular pack of noodles you're holding. The little chicken is especially prominent on the spicy noodles, where it breathes fire — depending on how spicy the noodles are.

Miso ramen - Noodle soup in no time

As mentioned, instant noodles are available, among other things, in ramen versions. Here the familiar miso soup is popular as the base for these noodles. You simply unpack the noodles, add the included flavor packets, pour boiling water over them and let them sit for 4–5 minutes. During that time the noodles absorb the water and the remaining liquid turns into delicious miso soup.
