The following terms and conditions of sale apply to all offers, sales orders and deliveries from Den Kinesiske Købmand. The terms apply in cases where no other written agreement has been entered into between You as the buyer and Den Kinesiske Købmand.
All contracts are concluded in Danish. It is not possible to access the contract afterwards via our website. Should you require a new copy of the contract to be sent by e‑mail, please send an e‑mail to Den Kinesiske Købmand.

All prices are in Danish kroner and include VAT unless otherwise stated. The total price of your order will be displayed and will be the amount to be paid.
Prices are subject to error. We reserve the right in the event of pricing errors, sold-out or discontinued items, and supplier delivery failures. We reserve the right to reduce or refuse an order.
Sales of goods to Greenland, Norway and the Faroe Islands are VAT-free.

Your order will be dispatched within 1–2 working days after the order has been received, provided all items are in stock. However, during holidays and busy periods there may be longer delivery times. We do not dispatch orders on weekends or public holidays. If, contrary to expectations, your items have not arrived within 5 working days after placing the order, we ask that you contact us. If the parcel is returned to us due to an address error or because the recipient does not pick it up, GLS will charge return postage corresponding to the weight.
You will be charged this fee on your order, and we reserve the right to deduct the fee amount from the reserved order total. We pass on the fee charged by GLS, and if you would like an invoice for the amount sent, you can contact us at webshop@denkinesiskekoebmand.dk.
The delivery date for private customers will only be valid from the moment the item comes into the buyer's possession under the Sale of Goods Act.
In the event that you enter your delivery address incorrectly and the parcel is redirected to another address by the carrier, you will be charged the GLS redirection fee of DKK 55.00. "Pick-up at the store."
If you have chosen to pick up your order at the store, it must be collected no later than 3 days after you have received notice that the parcel is ready for collection. If the order is not collected within 3 days thereafter, it will be cancelled.
Payments
You can pay by card (Dankort/VISA‑Dankort, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron and JCB). Payment will only be taken from your account when the item is shipped. Alternatively, you can pay by bank transfer, so that you can transfer directly into the Chinese Merchant's account. f.eks. via e-banking. The last payment option is MobilePay to no.: 31840 The Chinese Merchant. The system encrypts all your card details with the so‑called SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. This means that unauthorized parties cannot read your card number or other information during the transaction with PBS.
You can call us between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM on weekdays, and we can arrange delivery of ordered items.

There is no right of return / right of withdrawal for foodstuffs and other household goods.
For all other goods, if you regret your purchase from this online shop, you may cancel the purchase within 14 days. You may therefore return the item to us at your own expense to the address stated below.
Before you return goods, we ask that you inform us of this; you can use our contact form or send an email to Den Kinesiske Købmand. We would, of course, also like to know why you have withdrawn from the purchase. Once we have received the item, we will refund you the purchase price (excluding shipping), provided that the item is returned in substantially the same condition and quantity as when you received it.
The right of withdrawal is forfeited if the product has been subjected to rough treatment or damaged by improper use. For us to accept a return, it must be in such condition that it can be resold at the normal price. The item must be in its original packaging, undamaged and saleable again. This means that when the item is returned and the right of withdrawal is exercised, it can only be accepted if the item is returned in substantially the same condition and quantity as when you received it. The right of withdrawal is therefore forfeited if you use the item in a way that clearly and significantly reduces its resale value.
Because the original packaging is essential for certain goods to be saleable, this may mean that an item cannot be considered returned in substantially the same condition and quantity if the packaging is not included. Any protective packaging or film, for example, must not have been broken. Therefore always remember to keep the packaging, or to refrain from opening it, until you are sure you will keep the item.

As a general rule, you can only complain about defects that become apparent no later than two years after you have received the item. If the item is defective, you are welcome to submit a written complaint to Den Kinesiske Købmand Alternatively, you can use our contact form. You must report the defect within a reasonable time after you have discovered it. For goods with a limited shelf life, the right to complain is determined by the item's natural shelf life. You should describe what the defect consists of and what you want to be done about it.
If the defect occurs or becomes apparent within the first three months (90 days) after delivery, it is presumed that the defect was present at the time of delivery. In that case we will remedy the defect free of charge, return the repaired item to you, and reimburse any transport costs you may have incurred.
If, however, the defect appears during the remaining 21 months, it is generally up to you to demonstrate that the defect was already present at the time of delivery.
When filing a complaint, please return the item, if possible in its original packaging. The item must be sent to our Sales Department at the address below. Please also include a copy of the invoice and a description of the defect.
The right to make a claim lapses if the product has been subjected to excessive strain or damaged by improper use.
If it turns out that the item is not defective, or that the fault cannot be established from the customer's fault description, the item will be returned. The customer will then be charged DKK 300 including VAT to cover handling. In addition, postage and a cash-on-delivery fee covering the actual weight of the item will also be charged.
If a defect is found, the item will be repaired or exchanged and returned to the customer at no shipping cost.
