Monika Canton Noodles 227g are classic Chinese wheat noodles, known for their firm texture and versatility in Asian dishes. These noodles are particularly popular in dishes such as Chow Mein and Lo Mein, where they are stir-fried with meat, seafood and vegetables in a flavorful sauce. They are also suitable for Pancit Canton, a Filipino wok dish, as well as for Pad Thai, where they are combined with shrimp, eggs and peanuts.
Preparation:
Deep-fry: Deep-fry the noodles directly in hot oil for 1–2 minutes, until they are crispy. Serve them with stir-fried vegetables, meat and your preferred sauce.
Sauce for the noodles: Mix oyster sauce, soy sauce, salt and sugar, and thicken the sauce with tapioca starch for a delicious, rich consistency.
Stir-frying: Soften the noodles in boiling water for 2–3 minutes, drain and cool them thoroughly before frying for best results.
