You can easily and quickly make your own kimchi by using this kimchi paste.
Korean kimchi is a pickled vegetable that mainly consists of napa cabbage, seasoned with ginger, garlic, vinegar, sugar, salt and red chili powder. Kimchi is served as a side dish with many different main courses. If you simply enjoy the traditional balanced flavor of kimchi, this paste is a good choice.
Preparation
Cut the napa cabbage into large pieces, mix well with salt and press overnight so the water is drawn out of the cabbage. Drain off the water, then mix in the kimchi paste and season with a little fish sauce. Let the cabbage marinate overnight before serving.
