Topokki or Tteok-bokki is a popular soft rice cake that originates from traditional Korean street food. It is a popular and versatile everyday snack that can be used as a side dish for all kinds of food.
Preparation
Rinse the rice cakes in water and drain them. Add the drained rice cakes, gochujang/tteokbokki sauce (chili bean paste), sugar and water to a pan or deep fryer with oil and bring to a boil. Add eggs, fish cakes or vegetables to taste. Do not ingest the oxygen-absorbing material.
