Topokki or Tteok-bokki is a popular soft rice cake that originates from traditional Korean street food. It is a popular and versatile everyday snack that can be used as an accompaniment to all kinds of food.
Preparation
Rinse the rice cakes in water and drain them. Add the drained rice cakes, gochujang/tteokbokki sauce (chili bean paste), sugar and water to a pan or deep fryer with oil and bring to a boil. Add eggs, fish cakes or vegetables to taste. Do not consume the oxygen-absorbing material.
