Preparation
Pan-frying: Pour 1 tbsp oil into a hot frying pan. Fry the gyoza for 2 minutes. Add 60 ml water to the pan. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Then remove the lid and cook until all the water has evaporated. Alternatively, they can be fried at 170–180 °C for about 2.5 minutes.
Boiling: Boil for about 3.5 minutes and let it simmer.
Steaming: Steam for about 5 minutes.
Serving: The gyoza can be served with a classic dipping sauce made of soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil to enhance the flavor.
