Houcho knives from Japan are the common name for high-quality knives made using the same traditional method.
700 years of refined craftsmanship are behind these sharp Houcho knives.
This sashimi knife from Satake offers unparalleled precision and agility. Its pointed and sharp edge makes it perfect for filleting and the size is designed to make maneuvering a breeze. The blade is also single-sided for maximum precision and accuracy. The magnolia handle likewise helps provide an elegant and comfortable grip.
Sharpening angle: 15°
Storage and use
Wash under boiling water before first use.
Preferably store the knife in a knife block or on a magnetic strip, and avoid storing it in a drawer or container as that can damage the blade.
Also choose your cutting surface carefully and never cut directly on metal, granite, or marble. Plastic or wooden cutting boards are preferable to preserve the fine blade.
Never cut bones or frozen food with high-quality knives unless they are specifically made for that purpose, as it can also damage the blade.
Always rinse the knife between uses under lukewarm water, wash by hand, and dry immediately after use.
Sharpen when necessary.
